Believe it or not, Jakwob is actually one of my favorite producers… overall. Any electronic genre. Seriously (I don’t just say that every post). I actually shared a bunch of his tunes way back (which if you didn’t see, I highly suggest you check out that post). Now, the UK producer is back with a full album release for us, titled The Prize. What’s even better? The ENTIRE ALBUM is FREE! The whole album is mostly filled with minimal and post-dubstep sounds, but there are certainly side-steps into the sounds of original dubstep as well. This is some really unique music, and I’m really happy to see a producer trying out some new stuff. Jakwob has always been on the more mellow side of dubstep (the traditional UK sound), but this album takes that idea to an entirely other level. Don’t wave this one off because of that though, it’s really an awesome album. If you are a dub head though, be sure to check out track #9, “Let It Fall”, I’m sure it will satisfy.
